Release Candidate 1: Translations Management

February 6, 2014 | Tom Boyle

Continuing our feature highlights of Release Candidate 1, we are happy to dive deeper into OroCRM’s new Translations Management.

As you may know, OroCRM uses the Crowdin service to manage all of our community driven translations. Before our current release, you would need to exit the application and access Crowdin directly in order to work on projects.

Release Candidate 1 makes it much more convenient.

OroCRM’s new Translations Management includes a complete interface that allows users to easily download any language or translation package from within the application. Linking directly to Crowdin, you are able to install and manage the translations without ever leaving your OroCRM application.

But this goes beyond managing and editing translations. RC1 actually allows you to use these translations as the set default language of the system, as well as a supported language for any email templates.

For now, it is important to understand that most of these languages are still actively being translated. We hope to give everyone access to OroCRM in their own language very soon through our localization efforts. If you’d like to help, join the initiative today!

We will also be adding a video demo on how to best use the translations management for your needs. Stay tuned for this and more highlighted features of Release Candidate!
