Celebrating the One Year Anniversary of OroMarkeptlace!

Time flies, and things change, but what doesn’t change is our commitment to growing our ecosystem, and helping B2B commerce companies thrive.

Last year, we released OroMarketplace, the B2B-focused marketplace platform. It was exactly what the market needed. It’s also built on the same robust architecture powering our award-winning digital commerce solutions. We’ve gained industry recognition, released a major long-term release, and gained many prominent new customers.

A Full Year of Achievements

Shortly after launch, both Gartner and Forrester recognized OroMarketplace for its robust capabilities and features aimed specifically at operators, vendors, and buyers.

We’re proud to be included in the 2022 and 2021 editions of Gartner’s Marketplace Operations Applications Report, as well as the Forrester New Wave: Marketplace Development Platforms, Q4 2021 Report.

We hosted two product demos

We wanted to help our users familiarize themselves with the marketplace concept while highlighting how Oro responded to the needs of the industry.

That’s why we hosted two demos, one introducing OroMarketplace, and another one highlighting the first major release:

Many forward-thinking businesses already launched marketplaces powered by OroMarketplace. They operate their marketplaces in government, hospitality, chemicals, and parts distribution industries. 

Furthermore, our trusted implementation partners can realize marketplaces of any type and complexity in the shortest possible time. Together with our partners, we support the iterative approach to building marketplaces. Based on our experience, it’s an effective way to minimize risk, reduce costs, and ensure the successful adoption of new marketplace projects.

What is planned for the future?

As you can probably tell by now, we’re just getting started with OroMarketplace. We’re working on even more features for marketplace operators and vendors. 

They’ll get more customization, more flexibility, and control of the sales process. We’re optimizing marketplace vendor onboarding and order approval workflows. We’ll also introduce a simpler theme to make it easier for smaller marketplaces to get started.

Here’s to another record-shattering year!

As the B2B marketplace industry evolves, we expect the needs of operators, vendors, and buyers to change in return. We’re engaged with our ecosystem and analyze their needs to offer real-world solutions that matter to every participant in the marketplace. 

During the first year of OroMarketplace’s existence, we managed to gain a diverse client base such as chemicals distributor Andikem and aerospace parts marketplace PartsBase. 

It’s a testament to our leadership and remarkable growth in the marketplace software market. Best of all? We’re just getting started and expect to break more records next year!
