Meet The Oro Stripe Integration
Oro now offers a free Stripe integration for LTS versions 5.0 and 5.1. This integration allows OroCommerce and OroMarketplace websites to process debit and credit card payments through Stripe and issue full and partial refunds.
The Oro Team developed this integration so marketplace operators could take full advantage of Stripe’s ability to split payments on a single order. Now, multi-vendor websites can process payments and refunds with the ease of a single-vendor website.
How It Works
With the Stripe integration, marketplace operators automatically split payments when an invoice contains items sold by multiple vendors. Oro splits the order by seller and Stripe splits the payment.
The integration is invisible to buyers. At the front end, buyers see a single invoice and make a single payment. On the backend, the Oro application creates sub-orders by the seller while automatically splitting the payment to the appropriate sellers. Sellers see their order and their payment in their own backend.
The integration gives marketplace and traditional eCommerce website operators the option to capture and authorize payments automatically or to capture payment information and then manually approve the transaction.
If a return is required, the operator or seller can process credit to the customer for individual items without refunding the entire order. This integration takes the hassle and headache out of payment management.
