Both are now available for immediate use.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For this LTS (Long Term Support) release, the Oro Team focused primarily on enhancing existing functions and completing some new and long-anticipated features. We have also deployed essential performance and UX improvements on the store frontend, and have optimized various current functions related to catalogue management, SEO optimization, and customization.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The following is a brief roundup of all the improvements available in version 1.3 to help give you a glimpse of some of these new capabilities.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What\u2019s New in OroCommerce 1.3<\/span><\/h2>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Promotions and Discounts<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Promotions are an integral element of B2B customer loyalty programs, as well as one of the most requested features made by our community since the official release of OroCommerce 1.0 last January. To help OroCommerce users harness the power of these incentives, we have deployed a new promotion engine that allows them to <\/span><b>configure and create promotions<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. It\u2019s now possible to <\/span><b>apply various discount options<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to line items and shipping costs, or to run &#8220;buy X get Y&#8221; promotions. Refer to the extensive <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/oroinc.com\/b2b-ecommerce\/documentation\/current\/user-guide\/marketing-promotions\/#promotions\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Promotions<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> section of our <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/doc.oroinc.com\/user\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">User Guide<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to learn more about creating, viewing, and managing promotions in OroCommerce 1.3.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Guest Users and Guest Shopping Lists<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The guest user option enables <\/span><b>unregistered visitors or customers who haven\u2019t logged in to create and modify <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/oroinc.com\/b2b-ecommerce\/documentation\/current\/user-guide\/shopping-lists\/#shopping-lists\"><b>shopping lists<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Shopping lists are stored in a browser session up to 30 days and are preserved after the registration. A guest shopping list created by a registered yet unlogged customer gets merged with the existing shopping lists by the same customer once they log in. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A guest user profile is created for each visitor. Once they register, their <\/span><b>guest profiles are attached to the respective CRM Account<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> as the newly registered customer so that the store admin has a complete view of customer purchases and preferences.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The guest user feature lets the store admin remain flexible and stay on top of things. It\u2019s possible to enable this feature anytime and to <\/span><b>specify the number of shopping lists<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> guest users can create. Vendors can <\/span><b>ensure the store frontend is unavailable to guest users<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by making \u00a0access only available through the login or sign up forms. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In future OroCommerce versions, we\u2019ll expand the guest user functionality and introduce the guest checkout and guest requests for quotes.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Catalog Management Improvements<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It\u2019s now possible to highlight <\/span><b>new arrivals<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by adding a relevant label on the store frontend. New configuration options have been added to the &#8220;New Arrivals&#8221; block on the store homepage.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To enable <\/span><b>individual editing of different page sections<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> without opening the entire product edit page, we\u2019ve modified the product view page in the back-office.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can <\/span><b>manually add selected products to the product collections<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/oroinc.com\/b2b-ecommerce\/documentation\/current\/user-guide\/marketing-web-catalog\/#web-catalogs\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the web catalog<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> management section. You can also <\/span><b>exclude products<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from the automatically generated lists.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The price list generation process has been upgraded with an <\/span><b>additional price calculation method<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that uses the minimum possible price to better comply with the local rules and regulations of specific territories.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It\u2019s now possible to <\/span><b>assign and display related products on the product view page<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When editing product information, catalog managers can <\/span><b>use a page template for the store frontend product view page<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Store Frontend Improvements<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The following advancements in the store frontend ensure an enhanced customer experience and elevate customer satisfaction via a more customer-centric buying environment.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The main navigation menu has been<\/span><b> optimized for mobile and tablet devices<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can <\/span><b>display contact information of the sales rep assigned to the customer<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on the store frontend.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>The &#8220;Contact Us&#8221; form on the store frontend <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">can be enabled or disabled in the system configuration.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>The quick order page<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> now <\/span><b>includes additional product information <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to ensure an enhanced customer experience. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Customers can now easily <\/span><b>duplicate<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> their <\/span><b>shopping lists<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Performance and SEO Improvements<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The following enhancements are meant to improve your store\u2019s online visibility.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It\u2019s possible to boost rankings of your store through its front-end speed optimization by enabling <\/span><b>image and font caching, page-source compression, and image compression<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
