These are \u00a0Accounts, \u00a0Contacts, and Customers. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A <\/span><b>Customer record<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> represents your point of contact within a business channel. \u00a0The purpose of a Customer record is to track \u00a0the activities and records associated with a customer of a specific channel.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Customers involved in B2B activities are represented by B2B Customers records. \u00a0Records related to B2B Customers include Leads, Opportunities, and Sales Processes. \u00a0Activities include calls, email, tasks, and events.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Similarly, customers of your Magento store are represented by Magento Customers records. \u00a0These customers have Orders and Shopping Carts associated with them as well as activities like calls and emails.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A Customer record must be associated with an Account. \u00a0A contact is optional but recommended.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>An Account record<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> represents a company, household, or a group of people with whom you do business. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can find account records in Customers &gt; Accounts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An Account record helps you to aggregate information on all activities related to \u00a0contacts and customers related to that account. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When you open an Account you will note general information regarding the Account on the left as well as Contacts associated with this Account on the right. Many contacts can be associated with an account but only one can be the Default Contact.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Below, in the Activity Stream, you will see all activities associated with this Account and related to its Contacts and Customers. \u00a0Calls, emails, notes, and events will be aggregated into the Account Activity Stream.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-146084\" src=\"https:\/\/oroinc.com\/b2b-ecommerce\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2025\/08\/joxi_screenshot_1480343748129.png\" alt=\"joxi_screenshot_1480343748129\" width=\"540\" height=\"267\" srcset=\"https:\/\/oroinc.com\/b2b-ecommerce\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2025\/08\/joxi_screenshot_1480343748129.png 540w, https:\/\/oroinc.com\/b2b-ecommerce\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2025\/08\/joxi_screenshot_1480343748129-360x178.png 360w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">B2B and Magento customers associated with an Account are displayed below the activity stream.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For Magento Customers &#8211; Magento Orders and Magento Shopping Carts are displayed in the right column<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For B2B Customers, associated Leads and Opportunities are displayed also in the right column.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A<\/span><b> Contact record <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">represents a person and is located in Customers &gt; Contacts<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A Contact record contains personal information such as first and last name, address, telephone number, email address, birthday, and other related information.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In a Contact record you can see the Account or Accounts it is associated with.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To summarize our tutorial:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A Customer record represents your point of interaction with your Magento store or your B2B team. The record stores all business activities transacted with your customer. A Customer record must be associated with an Account. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An Account record represents a company, household, or group of people with whom you do business. It stores and aggregates all activities transacted with the records related to it such as B2B or Magento Customers and Contacts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A Contact record represents a person.
