Solution Engineer

Oro, Inc. is looking for a Solution Engineer to join the US Presales Team – a passionate individual who can quickly understand customer requirements, design high-level solutions tailored to their business needs, and effectively communicate Oro’s value propositions to technical decision-makers.

As part of this role, you will:

  • Master Oro’s product line, solutions, and key value propositions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and customers to design high-value solutions.
  • Plan, create, and deliver product demonstrations and proposals that align with customer requirements and business goals.
  • Work closely with Oro’s development team to define project scope, estimates, and timelines.
  • Research and understand competitive solutions, educating customers on Oro’s key differentiators.
  • Identify potential project challenges and risks, providing strategic solutions that drive customer success.
  • Assist in transitioning projects from sales to development, working alongside Oro’s services team.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics).
  • Native or fluent English speaker with excellent communication skills.
  • Experience presenting or instructing in front of live audiences.
  • Background in software development efforts, with hands-on participation in projects.
  • Basic knowledge of software development tools such as VMs, Git, Docker, and SSH.
  • Experience using tools for diagrams, presentations, spreadsheets, and graphic editing.
  • Ability to showcase a previous project example relevant to software or solution engineering.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in eCommerce and/or CMS platforms (Back-Office and Front-End).
  • Familiarity with Symfony, PHP, CSS is a plus.
  • Basic Linux administration experience (e.g., instance hosting).
  • Experience in sales or presales is a plus.

Salary Range: $72,000-$93,600 with bonus plan after initial training
