Struggling with SNC Redis config – first time setup of Oro

I’m trying to setup Oro for the first time. I am using a Docker container on a Mac, so Redis is a must if I want any kind of decent performance. When I add SNC to my registerBundles() method, I get an error stating that I am trying to register the bundle twice. When I remove it from registerBundles() I get an error stating that snc_redis.default is not a recognized service.

I have configured my config.yml for SNC Redis as shown below. Additionally, predis is installed.

SNC redis bundle is already registered in OroRedisConfigBundle so you just need to follow instructions how to configure it – https://github.com/oroinc/redis-config#configuration-for-standalone-redis-setup

So you say it s not necessary to follow instructions in https://oroinc.com/orocrm/doc/current/install-upgrade/installation-prerequisites/scalability#installation-scalable-configuration ?

When I set up the explained conf and services in app/config/config.yml, response time is like x20 faster.

Is it a mistake ? For me its not clear because of the previous mentioned page about scalable configuration.

Moreover this page have more configuration like about annotations cachingand a conf in security.yml.

No, I meant that it is not necessary to configure snc_redis bundle inside config.yml, because OroRedisConfigBundle takes care about it

Right now OroRedisConfigBundle doesn’t support php-redis, so if it is only one valid option for you, you may try to configure application following SncRedisBundle instructions

to use Doctrine\Common\Cache\RedisCache class instead of Doctrine\Common\Cache\PredisCache

I’ve tested it locally, there were no any reasonable difference in performance with about 10k products catalog
