We are happy to announce the availability of OroCRM and OroPlatform Community 1.3.0-Stable, and to our Enterprise customers, OroCRM Enterprise version 1.4.0

This version adds some key improvements and new features that include:

Redesign of the Navigation panel and left-side menu bar:

The navigation panel underwent a major overhaul. The immediately visible changes relate to visual appearance of the menu. The menu panel now has a new look, and most control elements, such as organization name, Search, and Shortcuts controls went to the top (Pintab) panel. It is also possible to configure whether the menu panel should appears on top, or on the left side.

Website event tracking:

Track user activity on your website or online store and record it directly in OroCRM. Once tracking is enabled the user data can be segmented and reports ran against this information to better understand customer interaction on your website.

Marketing campaigns:

Now you can create and manage marketing campaigns within OroCRM. Each campaign has a unique code so you can analyze results. OroCRM provides a summary report with the key performance indicators of the campaign and a timeline graph that shows events throughout the life of a campaign.

Case Management:

This new feature allows users to manage and track cases and issues opened by your customers.

Automated Processes:

This feature allows users to configure automated actions based on a set of rules that are defined for specific events in the system, for example when importing data into OroCRM.


In this release we introduce new entities called Activities. Notes, Emails and Attachments are all examples of Activity entities (Calls and Tasks will also be implemented as activities in the next release.)


Notes are small text messages that will appear in a dedicated Notes section on an entity view page below the record information.


The ability to send an email in context of an entity record has been redesigned as a system-wide activity, providing a standardized and configurable user experience acrross the system.


This highly requested features allows a user to attach files and images to records.

File and Image field types for entities:

It is now possible to create File and Image as custom entity fields . Files or images are uploaded to the field via the standard dialog, and then available for preview (in the case of an image), or download (in the case of a file) from the view page of an entity record.
