We want to share a preview of upcoming improvements to a key OroCRM productivity feature – email capabilities. These improvements will be available in our 1.7 release in April, though you may already try them by downloading the development version now.
Email Conversations and Threads
The single biggest improvement we are adding to the system is support for email conversations and threads. Now the system will detect when you reply to an incoming message, or receive a reply to your email, and will display all messages that belong to a single conversation in a thread—both on My Emails page and in the Activity Widget.
Support for threads will also feature a comprehensive redesign of My Emails page that will provide you a much better experience working with emails in OroCRM.
A signature is an important part of email, especially in customer-facing roles, but you don’t want to type it in every time. We solved this issues and introduced email signature support in the 1.7 release.
Write it once and add it to every email with a single click of a button! And to save you more time, it will be possible to configure your emails to automatically append the signature to the email body.
Numerous improvements to email experience will also include:
- Ability to forward emails
- Support for CC and BCC of recipients
- Improved design of recipient entry fields
