    We attempted to follow the online tutorial to add a custom field to the contacts entity.

    The update schema button returns Schema Failed to Update.

    Hello, @ppc! Please, provide a link to tutorial, that you used, im try to check its validity. Did you tried this on your local machine or on our demo site ?

    This is a local machine

    OSX 10.12.5
    PHP 7.0.19 (Brew)
    Apache 2.4.25 (Brew)
    MySQL 5.6.36

    Orocommerce 1.2.0 (Github)
    Orocrm 2.2.0

    We are in production mode.

    We have attempted to use instructions from https://www.atwix.com/oro/commonly-used-orocrm-console-commands/

    WE have a had varing degress of success from

    1. Field was created in the database
    2. UI did not update
    3. UI produces a 500 error
    4. UI displayed incorrectly.

    We are new to this and can follow direction well but we just need some direction.

    Hello,

    could you please provide more details, eg. logs which are produced during this error on Schema Update?

    Also, please have a look at our documentation. Links below show step by step how to add a field to entity and also describe whole entity management.
