    Hi,

Thanks for your question. Installation of OroCRM differs not much from the others applications and should be done in a few steps. These steps are described in detail here – https://oroinc.com/orocrm/doc/2.3/book/installation. This documentation is a good starting point for work with OroCRM.

If there are problems during the execution of the steps or you are already stuck on some one. Please ask clarifying questions (with a detailed description of the specific problem), we will gladly help you solve them.

    Hello, Saswiss,

Also, please, take a look in to the recently published step-by-step installation guide for the newer 2.6 version of OroCRM application https://oroinc.com/orocrm/doc/current/install-upgrade/installation-quick-start-dev/crm.

Please, let us know if this information it’s not enough for you to get working OroCRM application.

    Thank you.

    Hi mmiasnikov,

thanks for the link. I have already tried this, but don’t understand half of it so I am not able to even start the instllation. That’s why I asked earlier if ANYone with some decent expertise could perform the installations for me.

    Regards

    Hi, saswiss,

Could you please tell me, what, exactly, isn’t clear for you in this https://oroinc.com/orocrm/doc/current/install-upgrade/installation-quick-start-dev/crm installation guide, when do you stuck?

Therefore in addition to helping you, we could make the guide more understandable to other users.

    Thank you!

    Hi again,
I simply don’t understand how I should install the crm. Normally when I install, there is an install.php somewhere. this time I found 1, but was unable to complete. The material if good and understandable, but I am simply not technically able to understand what should be done….sorry…

    Ok.

Where do you try to install OroCRM? On your local machine? Or did you buy some shared hosting? Or do you have a virtual or dedicated server?

On which operating system do you want to install OroCRM (Windows/Linux/MacOS)? and which the version of your OS?

No, its on a hosted server – on a sub-domain of my main domain. It’s a Linux system.

Have you SSH access to this server?
Which Linux distributive used on the server (CentOS, Ubuntu)?

If you’re not sure – please, ask your hosting provider these questions.

    • Which edition of the OroCRM do you use? Community or Enterprise?
    • Which version of OroCRM do you want to install? (I’d recommend the current stable v. 2.6 if you don’t have objections for some reason)
    • Do you have installed the Database server? (Is it MySQL or another RDBMS, maybe MariaDB?). What version of your DB server software do you use? (MySQL v. 5.6, for example?)
    • Do you have installed PHP? Which version? (It should be v.7.1.17 and above)

Again, if you not sure – please, ask your hosting provider tech support.

    Hi, saswiss.

Sorry but this is community channel and we can not assign a technical specialist for these actions. We are ready to help with the problem if you describe the technical details.

    Hi ibratsilo,
thanks for your response. Unfortunately I am merely a consultant advising my clients on products, etc. – so I normally have apps like oro installed for testing and recommendation. Unfortunately I (as a complete tech idiot) was not able to do an install and since my client will make a decision by early next week, I will use the rest of the time to focus on other enterprise products.
    Take care

If you need the application only for familiarization or presentation purposes you can use our demo site – https://demo.orocrm.com/desktop/user/login.
