The sales team at Samuel Hubbard were left with time-consuming tasks that would shift their efforts away from operations that mattered most. They needed a platform that could automate these day-to-day tasks to allow the sales team to take on new opportunities and build new and existing customer relationships.

Their existing solution wasn’t capable of creating intuitive and complex checkout workflows that would allow their customers to select their local store, preferred shipping method and choose a payment option that suited them best, all with one click. This led to some of their customers placing orders via email or phone.

With their B2C business rooted in Magento, Samuel Hubbard wanted to leverage OroCommerce’s built-in CRM without re-platforming this portion of their business. Transitioning to OroCommerce allowed Samuel Hubbard to embrace digital automation to relieve their sales team from time-consuming tasks.

We also implemented new methods of placing orders on their B2B website, such as Product Matrix and Multi-Select. The Product Matrix offers a blank grid allowing buyers to populate SKU information, like shoe type and size, to then place a bulk order in one quick and simple step.
And, with the Multi-Select feature, customers of Samuel Hubbard were able to load their shopping basket with multiple variants of single products, creating a more convenient way for them to shop.
To really take their customer experience to the next stage, their new B2B portal with OroCommerce allowed Samuel Hubbard to provide their sales team and representatives with access to log into the customer portal and assist customers with the buying process, making it easier for customers who still preferred talking to a sales team. The portal then allowed customers to approve this order and make a payment.
